Jim Dalke CPBE, Editor –

Westlake Electronic Supply has been acquired by Industrial Electric Wire & Cable, Inc. (IWEC).  IWEC says the acquisition will support their broadcast, audio-video telecommunications and RF markets in the US.

Westlake Electronics has been in the capable hands of the Granard Family since the company began their business in downtown Seattle in 1953.

Westlake celebrated their 60th Anniversary last summer.  For many years the company was located on Westlake Avenue, a few blocks away from the big three radio and television broadcasters, KING, KOMO, and KIRO.

Westlake Electronics and the Granard family have been a strong supporters of SBE Seattle Chapter 16 since the chapter’s formation.
