The Annual SBE Chapter 16 Picnic will be held July 25th at the KOMO transmitter facility on Vashon Island! Festivities begin at noon with free food, fun, family & friends.
If that’s not enough, the Vashon Island transmitter tour will be included after the main activities for no extra charge. Vashon Island is home to six 50kW AM transmitters: KOMO, KIRO, KGNW, KJR, KTTH, KFNQ, as well as the historic first station on Vashon, KVI (Note the significance of the call letters!).
This year’s picnic is sponsored by our good friends at BSW with liquid refreshments provided by the folks at Hatfield and Dawson Engineers.
Directions to the picnic site and ferry schedules on the chapter “Meetings” page on the banner above.
Please RSVP for planning purposes. Include your name and how many guests, and if you would like to take the transmitter tour. firstname.lastname@example.org
