Alex Brewster – Chapter Engineer of the Year

The SBE Seattle Chapter 16 Board of Directors has selected Alex Brewster, CBRE, CBNT as the Chapter Engineer of the Year.

Alex is currently Assistant Chief Engineer at Entercom, Seattle.  His duties include engineering support for FM stations KKWF, KNDD, KSWD, KISW, and KHTP as well as Entercom Stations in the Portland, OR market.  His responsibilities range from antenna and transmitters to IT support for automation systems and transmitter site remote control.

Alex is an active member of SBE Seattle Chapter 16 and has served on the Chapter’s Board of Directors as Secretary.

Alex is participating as a member of the Washington State Emergency Communications Committee.

Alex is also a professional drone pilot and has an FAA Remote Pilot Certificate.  Alex recently assisted in the Tiger Mountain antenna fire recovery using his drone to document the tower and antenna structure damage.

Before coming to work at Entercom, Alex was employed by CBS Radio Seattle, caring for KMPS-FM, KZOK-FM, KJAQ-FM, and KFNQ-AM.

Alex lives in Poulsbo with his wife Marley, and three children, Lucy 5, James 4, and Margot 2.
