It was a great day for our annual chapter 16 picnic at the lakeside home of Terry and Roxanne Spring, our hosts on Saturday, August 21. The Spring home is on Lake Joy in hills of east King County.
There were 18-chapter members and guest attending this year’s event with food provided by our friends at BSW and liquid refreshments provided by Hatfield and Dawson Engineers.

The picnic menu included our traditional hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hotdogs, veggie burgers, salads, and lots of watermelon. We also enjoyed fresh raspberries from the Spring Garden.

The official meeting was called to order by chapter Chairman Dave Ratener and following a brief business meeting, Dave presented the two annual chapter awards. This year’s winners were Engineer of the Year, Terry Spring and Educator of the Year, Jon Kasprick.
