Jeff Welton
Our February luncheon meeting was held on February 11 and featured a Zoom presentation by Nautel’s Jeff Welton. It was held at the facilities of KCTS-TV, Cascade PBS, on Capitol Hill in Seattle.
Jeff’s presentation was on “IT Security in a Broadcast Plant,” covering everything from station automation and production to studio to transmitter delivery and control and monitoring. Jeff cited cases where new transmitters had been installed and connected to the internet without changing the default user names and passwords.
Jeff’s presentation was followed by a tour of Cascade PBS’s new home on Broadway on Capitol Hill.
