Preparations are underway for the big Annual Chapter 16 Christmas Party Saturday, December 15 at Ivar’s Salmon House on Lake Union. The doors will open at 5:30 pm for “happy hour” hosted by Hatfield and Dawson Engineers followed by the dinner buffet at about 7:00 pm.
This year’s cost will be a highly subsidized $40 per person for chapter members and guest.

The elegant buffet dinner will include Alder Grilled Coho Salmon Fillet, Alder Grilled Chicken Marsala, Pepper Herb Rubbed Prime Rib with Au jus and creamy horseradish. The Entrées will be complemented with Mesquite Cornbread Muffins, Honey lavender butter, Soup and Salad, Mixed Green Salad, Balsamic vinaigrette, Ivar’s World-Famous Clam Chowder, Seasonal Fresh Fruit Platter, and a Chilled Citrus Poached Prawn Platter.

Live Christmas music will be provided by the “The Dickens Carolers.”
Dinner will be followed by our exciting gift and prize drawings. Tickets for the drawing will be provided to chapter members at the door.
There will be a Grand Prize Drawing for a trip to the 2019 NAB Show in Las Vegas in April. The prize is for a three-day, two-night stay in Las Vegas, including round-trip airfare from Seattle, hotel, transportation between the hotel to the convention and an exhibit pass. The winner must be a current SBE member and present at the drawing to be eligible to win.
The winner will fly to Las Vegas from SeaTac Airport Monday morning, April 9 and return Wednesday night, April 11. The winner will stay at a Las Vegas hotel Monday and Tuesday night. Transportation between the hotel and the convention center will be provided. An exhibit pass will be provided that will provide access to the 46 acres of broadcast technology exhibits.
The rules are simple: The drawing will be held near the conclusion of the Christmas Party Saturday evening, December 16. The winner must be a current SBE member (any chapter) and must be present at the drawing. If the winner cannot make the trip or declines the award, another ticket will be drawn until a winner can accept the award.

Ivar’s Salmon House has 2 large parking lots across the street from the restaurant, and one at each end of the building which are free. A private dock is available for guest’s boat moorage during the event.
