The May Chapter Meeting was held at the Old Spaghetti Factory in South Center on Wednesday the 11th
Our guest presenter was Ted Buehner, Washington SECC Chair, talking about the history and changes from Conelrad, EBS, and EAS to the new and comprehensive the Washington Integrated Public Alert & Warning System (WA-PAWS).
There was also a discussion about the posting of the “State EAS Handbook” at the broadcast station control point.
The meeting was the first in-person meeting since the COVID restrictions two years ago. The meeting was also provided over the internet using Zoom meeting technology.
