January Meeting Report

The new year’s first monthly Chapter 16 Luncheon was held Tuesday, January 10 at the Round Table Pizza in Federal Way.  Our presenter was David Kaszycki, CEO and Co-founder of Beam Dynamics.

The meeting was the first of several planned for 2023 with the presenter being able to visit northwest SBE Chapters, including Seattle Chapter 16 on Tuesday, Portland Chapter 124 Wednesday, Eugene Chapter 76 Thursday and the Medford Chapter 141 on Friday.

David introduced the Beam Dynamics technology platform that links product-level data from hundreds of sources to broadcast & production technology assets, in the cloud.

Beam is the first platform of its kind for the film, broadcast and production industry.

Simply by uploading an inventory list with the model # and manufacturer, engineers can get access to critical data to keep productions on-air, on-time and on-budget. Using the linked inventory and asset list, the Beam platform provides data on all critical security patches, firmware updates, documentation, contact information for every vendor and every piece of hardware, software or service in the broadcast operation.
